Nominations for Portland Buy Local’s 8th Annual Indie Biz Awards Awards close tomorrow, September 2nd at 5pm. Nominations are being accepted through the Portland Buy Local website. The awards celebration will take place Thursday, October 22nd at Port City Music Hall.
The categories for the 2015 Indie Biz Awards are:
Portland Icon
Best New Business
Creative Crusader
Environmental Hero
Portland’s Best Kept Secret
Flavor of Portland
Out of Sight, Not out of Mind
Portland Beacon
Best Neighborhood
Businesses do not need to be members of Portland Buy Local to be nominated or win; however, they must have a location in Portland, be locally-owned and independent. Five nominees in each category will move on to the final round of voting beginning September 29th.
Winners will be celebrated at the Indie Biz Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 22nd at Port City Music Hall from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and auction items are being accepted. Email awards@portlandbuylocal.org for more information.
