In a release to media, Portland Police stated that they have arrested thirty-year-old Gang Deng Majok in connection with a shooting and murder in the Old Port. This is the second arrest in this case. Authorities arrested Johnny Ouch of Westbrook earlier in July.
Gang Deng Majok was arrested at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, July 27th, and charged with murder and elevated aggravated assault.
Majok was arrested without incident by members of the U.S. Marshall’s Maine Violent Offender Task Force, Saco Police, Biddeford Police, and Maine Drug Enforcement Administration. He was found at 14 Gooch Street in Saco, Maine.
Charges are in connection with the shooting death of 19 year old Treyjon Arsenault and the shooting of another man on May 25th at Da Block Studios on Fore Street in the Old Port. Treyjon Arsenault died from his injuries and a second victim is still recovering from gunshot wounds.
Twenty year old Johnny Ouch of Westbrook was arrested by the Maine Violent Offenders Task Force and Portland detectives on Thursday morning, July 16th, also for the murder of Treyjon Arsenault and the shooting of another man.
Johnny Ouch was located on East Valentine Street in Westbrook around 11:00 a.m. He was arrested without incident and subsequently pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Majok is being held without bail at the Cumberland County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
