Harbor View Park Cleanup with the Portland Parks Conservancy
On Thursday, July 25th, volunteers turned out at the West End’s Harbor View Memorial Park for a cleanup organized by the Portland Parks Conservancy. Outfitted with trash bags, work gloves and pickers, several neighborhood residents plus a workplace group from IDEXX joined in the effort. The volunteers collected five bags of trash and dozens of needles.
“The Conservancy is grateful to the many committed volunteers who devote time to caring for Portland’s parks,” says Jack Phillips, the organization’s Executive Director. “These contributions are essential to maintaining clean, safe, and healthy outdoor spaces for Portlanders to enjoy. Harbor View is in much better shape thanks to the volunteers who helped out in late July.”
