On April 15th a South Portland School Department bus hit a bicyclist on Deering Avenue, near King Middle School at about 7 a.m.
The Police Traffic Division investigated the incident, which included reviewing video captured by the bicyclist camera.
As a result of the investigation, the operator of the school bus, Mr. Leon Spear, was issued a summons for “Operator Failing to Use Due Care Passing a Bicycle”.
