ELECTION INFORMATION
The Maine Primary Election is on Tuesday, June 11th. Also on the ballot in Portland is the School Budget Referendum.
Election Day is Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, and all Portland polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The following will be voted on:
Party Primary Information
Anyone enrolled in the Democratic, Republican, and Green Independent parties may participate along with anyone who is not enrolled in another political party. Unenrolled voters will select either the Democratic, Republican, or Green Independent ballot at the time they request a ballot.
Anyone enrolled in another party other than Democratic, Republican, Green Independant, or Unenrolled may not participate in this Primary Election.
All Portland voters can participate in the School Budget Referendum.
Voters can change their party status up to 15 days before Election Day. You must be in a party for three months before changing to another party. The deadline to withdraw enrollment or change enrollment to a different party and still be eligible to vote in the June 11th, 2024 State Primary was Friday, May 24th, 2024.
