On December 19th, 2014, 23 year-old Abdirahman Haji-Hassan was arrested in Minneapolis by the local U.S Marshals Violent Crimes Task Force. Haji-Hassan was charged with Fugitive from Justice for the murder of Portland resident Richard Lobor. The murder occurred on November 21st, at 214 Brighton Avenue, Apt 4.
Haji-Hassan has waived extradition and arrangements are being made to transport him back to Maine.
Portland police have been working with the Attorney General’s office on this case. More details will be released as they become available.
