Next time you head out to tie one on, leave your blade at home. The staff at Local 188 at 685 Congress Street were not at all happy when a drunk customer pulled a knife on them.
John Aboda, 33 years old of Portland was intoxicated and being disruptive. The staff called the cops shortly before midnight.
As professional staff will do, when Aboda was making a scene they asked him to leave. Instead of leaving, he pulled a knife from his waist and waved it around in the air. Aboda put the knife away, and staff started to walk him to the door, but before he was out he again brandished the knife. This time he threatened to slash and kill people.
Police arrived and arrested Aboda. He was charged with Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon.
A sheath and six inch knife were recovered.
