Portland Mayor Michael Brennan traveled on the night of October 2nd aboard the Nova Star Ferry on a trip to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The Mayor’s visit included a meeting and tour with Yarmouth Mayor Pam Mood and city officials and business leaders. Their discussions focused on Portland-Yarmouth relations since the reactivation of ferry service between the two cities. This is Mayor Brennan’s first visit to Yarmouth since the Nova Star began service in May. The ferry is scheduled to make it’s final trip of the season on October 13th. The ferry will continue running a winter route before resuming the Portland to Nova Scotia run next spring.
