Saturday, August 27, 2022 | 10am-5pm
Presented by Shop Maine Craft, the Portland Fine Craft Show returns for its seventh annual event; a festive, one-day, outdoor juried fine craft show in downtown Portland, Maine on Saturday, August 27th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show is in the heart of Portland’s Arts District in the large parking area at 120 Free Street. Admission is free and open to the public.
The beloved show features over one hundred artists from all over Maine and the greater Northeast area. Artists are exhibiting basketry, ceramics, decorative and wearable fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, printmaking, stone, and wood. There are also several outreach booths from Maine arts organizations and sponsors. The well-attended show features New England artists from Maine and beyond.
The one-day show has become a staple summer event for both local craft enthusiasts and visitors to Maine. This year guests may happily anticipate seeing their favorite exhibitors while looking forward to seeing new juried artists. Guests of the show can shop for handcrafted items to live with, wear, and cherish.
NEW SHOW PRODUCER
Established and formerly produced by the Maine Crafts Association, the Portland Fine Craft Show will now be produced by its new sibling organization, Shop Maine Craft. Shop Maine Craft is a hub of craft artists’ resources, retail sales, fine craft shows, and special events designed to support Maine’s creative economy by creating income opportunities for craft artists.
Shop Maine Craft directly supports individual craft artists as well as the Maine Crafts Association, a non-profit organization serving Maine artists, their studio practices, businesses, and community since 1983. Today, Shop Maine Craft manages the programs, developed by the MCA, which directly focus on shopping, including two retail galleries, several shows, markets, and a Webshop.
