Election Energies and the Spirit of the Holidays
Astrological Forecast November 2016 by Leo Knighton Tallarico
The Trump Energy
As we enter November 2016 we are on the verge of a Presidential Election that will take us all into a whole new chapter of our collective human USA lives.
Astrologically speaking, I lean to believing that Donald Trump will win. Astrology forecasting can be like weather forecasting, you see the potential of certain energy patterns rolling in at a certain time.
But hey Farmer’s Almanac is not always right and neither are the weather people on TV stations, so of course I am not sure this election forecast is right.
But no matter who wins, we are leaving the Obama era. He has certainly not lived up to most progressive standards, but I know that the Military/Economic system has created a very tight paradigm that is difficult for one man or administration to drastically change.
The Democrat/Republican duopoly, in conjunction with big corporations, big government and big military has created an almost lock tight system of controls.
It is promising, however, even though they will fall far short of winning, that the Green Party and Libertarian Party have gotten mainstream exposure that was not possible before.
It does seem that people are now more fed up than ever with both mainstream parties. They are sick and tired of voting for the lesser of evils.
If either Clinton or Trump win, there will be a strong backlash of rebellion in the USA. A Clinton victory will bring out a most vociferous anger from Second Amendment-loving, anti-abortion, anti-minority people. A Trump victory will tend to break down the old Republican Party and will create great fear and chaos in America… and all around the world.
Either way we can expect the old system’s walls of control to crack open and begin a big transformation in America and around the world.
Scorpio and Taurus Tug of War
At the same time as this crazy election season comes to an end, there is greater danger that a war will break out over Syria and/or Ukraine between Russia and the USA and western powers. China has also been flexing muscles in the Asian Pacific area. Even the Philippines’ President Duerte is showing serious signs of breaking away from the USA and moving more toward China.
The world as we know it is on the verge of great transformational change, and it is likely that the world economy will face new challenges in 2017.
There was a New Moon in Scorpio on October 30th. We will have entered the second quarter phase of that lunar cycle on Election Day November 8th.
That means energies are waxing and intensifying on the way to a Full Moon in Taurus on November 14th at 8:52 AM EST.
Taurus Full Moons usually bring a “tug of war” between conflicting ideas and ways of being. With the Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in Taurus defining this Full Moon, each side will stubbornly want to hold their ground.
So, it is best around that date to stay out of intense arguments or fights, especially around political issues.
Scorpio is a very emotionally intense sign that seeks passionate interchange with others. Taurus is a solid and usually calm fixed earth sign that tries to stay away from people who are intensely emotional or dramatic. But they need each other, as Scorpio needs calm grounding and Taurus needs more “spice” in its life.
So, this Full Moon can bring conflict, or if there is respect for others’ ways of being, an ultimately deeper connection.
Go with the Flow
On November 19th, the planet Neptune goes from Retrograde to Direct movement. When a planet changes directions, what it represents is in the spotlight.
Neptune seeks to dissolve overly set agendas and to help people to “go with the flow.” In the process of going with the flow, one can then be so surrendered as to forget things or be mentally foggy.
If possible, for a couple days around the 19th, try not to be too focused on reaching goals or being too tight in any way. Meditate, listen to music and listen to others more to gain more empathy for their position.
Sagittarius and the Spirit of the Holiday Season
On November 25th, the Sun leaves deep and intense Scorpio and for a month enters free spirited Sagittarius.
Sagittarius brings a need for more adventure, for more positive attitudes, for greater inspiration, to find positive solutions and a more meaningful existence.
Every year it brings on the Holiday Season, which originally began with a striving for higher values.
Being high-minded and taking the high road is typical Sagittarius. But recent years have dulled the positive spirit of Holiday Season and all too often replaced it with frantic shopping and irritable rushing to get everything done.
The more you can access your desire to have a meaningful life, the more you will be in touch with the Sagittarius energies of this time of year.
The down side of Sagittarius is leaping excitedly before one looks and evaluates, finding meaning where no meaning exists and making unfair judgments about people or situations.
New Inspiration and Finding Solutions
Venus conjunct Pluto on the 25th can bring intense interactions between people that can be hurtful. It is also quite possible that the conflicts can bring a “clearing of the air” and a new perspective.
On November 29th, there is New Moon in Sagittarius at 7:15 a.m., which means that the Moon has caught up with the Sun, which has been in Sagittarius since November 25th. As such, this is a time for new beginnings and starts, and for the energy and issues of Sagittarius to get even stronger.
So, you may be seeking or finding new inspiration in your life. You may look to see a bigger perspective or bigger picture of what has been happening in your life. Your faith may be tested, and you may also be tested to be more positive with a renewed sense of meaning in your life.
John Lennon in one of his songs said, “There are no problems, only solutions,” which is a very Sagittarius way of doing life at their best.
Or perhaps a better way to look at it is that all problems have a solution. Believing that helps one to have a life that works.
See you in December,
