The City is posting a number of Parkside & West End streets with temporary no parking signs for tonight and tomorrow to accommodate plow crews as they make their rounds to perform additional snow removal efforts in order to widen the streets.
Tall snow banks and narrow streets are causing safety concerns for both pedestrians and motorists. The signs were posted on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 4th, and will be removed as soon as crews are done. Motorists should adhere to the restrictions for as long as the signs are in place.
Crews will continue to work their way around the City to widen streets and will likely use temporary parking restrictions in other neighborhoods to achieve this.
Alternative free parking during this time period can be found at Deering Oaks, on the Western Prom, and the Eastern Prom.
