It should be obvious to all who are tuned in, that our world is going through huge transformational change.
This new chapter of life for humans on Planet Earth quite arguably began at the Cardinal Grand Cross in April 2014. And all of 2014 and 2015 have expanded our collective experience of this new life season and world we find ourselves in.
This new chapter or season of our lives is similar to the ’60s and ’70s revolutionary period. Much is shifting, and people again have to adjust their consciousness and life to be in step with the changes.
There is a huge portal open for consciousness change and world change, similar to the ’60s and ‘70s, but of course the quality and experiences of such change is different.
There has been a passionate revival of civil rights issues for African Americans and for LGBT peoples.
There is a stoking of primal war tensions also, as the Islamic State was fully born at the Cardinal Grand Cross, and then perpetrated many vicious acts throughout 2014/15.
Russia has been flexing its muscles since it got involved in Ukraine in April of 2014, and in 2015 started bombing in Syria. These moves upped the possibility for world war.
The Middle East has become more unstable the last couple of years, and Iraq, Syria, and Libya no longer exist in their old forms.
Many people have been holding on tightly to status quo life stability, while at the same time letting in the changes that cannot be stopped.
All of this is happening as the Technological Revolution has become more and more an important part of everyone’s life. It actually consumes the life and consciousness of more and more people all the time.
As we look at our political world through the approaching primary season for President, candidates and voter reaction show us a huge transformation going on in citizens’ minds. The candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are revealing the deep dissatisfaction that citizens feel for the current condition of life in the USA.
Don’t be fooled by the statistics showing the economy on solid footing. It is a mirage, as many people are generally having a rough time of it financially. Two people need to work in most families; college has outrageous costs for young people; and corporate controls of people’s souls and lives is worse than ever.
The world as we have known it has been changing rapidly these last couple of years, and sometimes people are overwhelmed trying to take it all in.
As in the ’60s and ’70s, the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius is awakening in people’s hearts, consciousness and lives, whether they are aware of it or not.
Our individual lives, our country, and our world are transforming at a rapid rate now, and even our sense of time seems to be accelerating.
And now in 2016 we will feel we are even more fully ingrained in this new chapter of our lives, as personal and global changes will continue to intensify.
Uranus continues to square Pluto, though not exact anymore; and Saturn continues to square Neptune.
Uranus squares Pluto, similarly to the Uranus conjunct Pluto aspect that swept us into the ’60s revolution. Powerful change continues as they continue their transformational dance with one another.
And Saturn square Neptune continues our challenges with boundaries and limits, and continues our attempts to balance security with sometimes big changes.
In the greater world this means chaotic changes and uprisings that threaten our sense of security. Police, military and governmental controls will get stronger and stronger. Anarchy versus fascism would be the most dramatic expression of this conflict.
The transformation of the global economy will likely require a worldwide crash of the stock market to clear the way this year.
The re-balancing of power in the world to evolve into Diversity in Unity will likely require conflicts intensifying in the world to further break up the old structures. The Middle East will break apart much more. Europe will face greater threats to its stability, as will the USA.
Yet those who are being awakened — transforming and evolving — will also see an unveiling of hidden truths, a re-connection to more magic and synchronicity, and a greater sense of empathy for those who are supposed to be enemies.
A knowing that all is connected and that our lives unfold in meaningful ways are other benefits of the transformation into the Age of Aquarius.
A healing of our human family and our Earth home is another important part of the great changes moving into our lives in this new season.
Each of us will be more motivated to lead more authentic lives through new careers, changed relationships, and new outlooks on life.
It will be another year of great change and a greater acceptance of this new season of our lives.
The New Year begins with Mercury going Retrograde on January 5th. As always Mercury Retrograde brings with it a shift to perception in thinking, often subtle at first. There is also usually a rewind into the past through dreams, waking memories, and the actual reappearance of people from earlier years.
There can also be difficulties with communication and communication devices, and left brain thinking that is more faulty.
It is best during Mercury Retrograde to be more reflective and inner-directed. Making big life moves or major decisions is usually not a good idea. Mercury goes back Direct on January 25th.
New beginnings can be felt around the New Moon in Capricorn on January 9th at 8:31 PM.
Themes of this new moon are: a return to obligations and reality, needing more discipline and planning, wanting to be more organized, feeling the need to accomplish more, more emphasis on work and career. Capricorn is boundaries and limits and rules; it is the hand of time and wisdom through mistakes and experience.
The Sun moves out of Capricorn and into Aquarius on January 20th. This brings us more “outside the box” thinking, more emphasis on being an individual who is “different”.
Aquarius is socially conscious, a detached thinker, inventive, and often fixed on its mental principles — which can be very idealistic. Rebellion and revolution from conventional thinking and behavior is often its way of being.
On January 23rd there is a Full Moon in Aquarius/Leo at 8:46 PM EST. The conflict between Leo and Aquarius can be seen in the metaphor of someone buying a car. The Aquarian seeks a car that is energy efficient and gets good mileage, using its head for the decision. The Leo seeks the shiny and flashy car that is popular and opens up its heart.
On January 25th Mercury goes back Direct again, beginning to clear up the airwaves and show us improved direction for our lives. It may take a week or more before full clarity is returned.
Till February,
Leo
