On May 14th, at 2:47 p.m., officers and detectives responded to a bank robber at University Credit Union on outer Brighton Avenue.
A lone suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded money from the teller. The bank’s security cameras captured the entire incident.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash through the Taft Avenue entrance of the credit union. He then ran down Taft Ave.
No employees or customers were injured during the robbery.
The suspect was described as a slender black male, roughly 5’ 8” to 5’ 10”, his hair was described as possible dreadlocks tucked into his hat, wearing what appeared to be a false mustache, sunglasses, a North Face jacket with a hood, pants, sneakers, gloves and a baseball hat with white letters. All the clothing was described as dark in color.
