Police are investigating a series of residential burglaries in Parkside and the West End. Over the past week, there have been six burglaries to apartments in these neighborhoods.
All burglaries have occurred during the daytime and early evening hours. Entry was gained by cutting and removing screens or entering opened or unlocked windows.
In one of the incidents, the resident was asleep in a bedroom, while the suspect entered via a living room window. Items stolen include electronics and cash.
Police ask residents to be vigilant of their surroundings, ensure their windows are closed and locked whenever they leave, and report suspicious activitiy. Residents may record serial numbers and take photos of valuables in order to assist with the recovery of stolen property. If there is an emergency, call 911.
