Two robberies occurred at the same residence, in the area of Boyd Street and Cumberland Avenue in East Bayside.
The two victims reported that on Friday April 24th, at about 10:00 p.m., an unknown male came to the residence and asked to warm up and use the phone. The suspect then threatened the two victims, who are disabled, and stole their television and phone.
The next day the victims reported that the same male entered their residence through a window at about 4:00 a.m. He threatened one of the victims with a knife and stole another television.
Neither victim was injured during the robberies. After an investigation, Martineau was identified as the suspect and charged.
Today, Portland Police Detectives charged Benjamin Martineau 26 years old of Portland with 2 robberies, one unarmed (Class B) and one armed (Class A). Martineau is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on unrelated charges.
