Election results for June 2022
It was primary election day on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022. Locally in Portland, voters went to the polls to approve the school budget and elect candidates for several vacated school board seats.
In election results for June 2014, Sarah Lentz and Ben Grant won the open at-large school board races. Lentz led the first round of ranked choice voting without a majority against a crowded field of seven candidates. Lentz stayed on top through six rounds of counting. Ben Grant received the second most votes in the first round. He stayed in the runner up spot through all rounds of counting receiving the second of two available at-large seats.
In District 5 unofficial election results, Sarah Brydon would hold on through five rounds of counting against four other candidates to win the seat.
The Portland public school budget was passed with over 75% of the vote. Also, voters decided to keep the school budget referendum process going for another three years by a smaller margin (67%).
