Portland Conservatory of Music New Location Ribbon Cutting
The Portland Conservatory of Music officially opened their new home in the West End on November 18th. PCM held the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 28 Neal Street, where for the first time they have their very own space.
“Having our own building is a game changer for us. It will allow us to expand our programming to better meet the needs of the community and the wonderful acoustics in the performance hall provides us with a first-class performance space,” said executive director Jean Murachanian.
The purchase of the new location at 28 Neal Street was made possible through an anonymous $1 million donation. This gift was the cornerstone of PCM’s current Building Harmony Capital Campaign. Their goal is to raise $2.5 million to cover the purchase of the new building, necessary renovations, and new programming.
